Hi, I’m Jessie.
I built The Focus Co. because I am a photographer. And I knew firsthand that the business side of things can feel like total chaos. Every photographer I knew was drowning in to-do lists, racing deadlines, and trying not to drop the ball.
That’s where my type-A, organized brain comes in. When I first started my photography business, I was the nerd with poster boards mapping out workflows and color-coding systems like my life depended on it. (Spoiler: I loved it.)
Over time, I mastered the stuff most photographers avoid: the backend of business.
After 10+ years behind the camera, it was COVID that pushed me to pivot, and I started helping other photographers with their systems as an OBM.
Within a month, I was fully booked.
Turns out, everyone else was craving simplicity too.
Now? I help ambitious photographers ditch the chaos and grow sustainably.
I bring the focus & clarity, so you can get back to doing what you love most.
Some Fun Facts about Me
- I’m a rare Austin unicorn. Grew up running around Barton Springs, and listening to live music on sweaty outdoor patios.
- My met my best friend on a pool deck (we were both swim coaches then!) and we fell in love & eloped with just our closest friends around us. 10/10 recommend.
- Fast-forward a few years, and now we’ve got two tiny people we chase around, who have turned our worlds into kaleidoscopes of joy.
Ready for speed-dating style? Okay let’s go:
- Fluent in The Office quotes (basic, but true)
- Enneagram 8, obviously
- Former swim coach in another life (don’t watch the Summer olympics with me, I’m insufferable)
- Married to a European who’s becoming a pilot (ummm fly me to Europe, please)
- I may or may not be fueled by Siri reminders + espresso over ice
- My ideal outing would be a cool evening on a patio, tequila in hand, listening to live music while my kiddos run around playing. (Which, in Austin, is like… a regular Tuesday).
Basically? I am building a life that doesn’t just look good – it feels good to me. And, I want the same for you!
So let’s make it happen.
